    Two medics from Frankfurt am Main appointed to helm of the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma

    Prof. Ingo Marzi is the new president of the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma (DGOU). Marzi is chairman and director of the Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital Frankfurt. Prof. Andrea Meurer has been appointed vice president, making her the first woman at the head of the DGOU. Meurer is medical director and business director of the Orthopaedic University Hospital Friedrichsheim in Frankfurt am Main. The DGOU general assembly elected Marzi and Meurer as the society’s new president and vice-president in October 2016. Their tenure runs from 1 January to 31 December 2017.
